Improve the efficiency and transparency of Congress' system of analysis and oversight of budgetary executions by public entities

Make information more accessible to the public in order to promote citizen oversight

Establishing mechanisms that promote coordination between Congress and other branches of the GOP

•

Increasing the ability of Congressmen/women to represent the interests of their electoral constituencies in public budget issues

•

Creating bases for more flexibility, efficiency and transparency in legislative administration

•
 Establish standard financial reporting criteria to be used by GOP entities
•
 Provide technical assistance in matters of budget analysis
•
 Install useful management information systems
•
 Develop internal and external awareness campaigns
•
 Create mechanisms that facilitate citizen access to public information
•
 Increase civil society's role in public budget oversight
•
 Progress will be calculated by:
a - Number of financial reports using standard criteria
b - Number of access to information mechanisms implemented
c - Number of public entities subject to budget oversight
